RELAUNCH OF REDCAR AND CLEVELAND
ENVIRONMENT FORUM
Press release, Monday 15th January
2007
|
This Friday the 19th January sees the relaunch of the Redcar and
Cleveland Environment Forum (RCEF). It will be at the Wilton Visitors
Centre, Redcar from 3.00pm to 4.30. The first speaker of the new
reformed Forum will be the Rt. Hon. Vera Baird M.P. for Redcar who
will speak about Economic Development, Environment and the Community.
There will be opportunities for questions.
The Redcar and Cleveland Environment Forum (RCEF) was first established
in 2003 to provide an opportunity for members of the public, local
community groups and residents to discuss, in a constructive way,
environmental issues with representatives from the local authority,
Regulatory bodies, Health agencies and Industry. The forum is
actively supported by the local office of the Environment Agency,
by Impact (a local community group with environment related interests),
and by Friends of the Earth. The aim is to encourage a healthy
debate on those aspects of the environment that affect the region.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
