About IMPACT

Impact is a group of Teesside residents who want to lessen or remove the bad impacts of industry.

By providing a resource and a platform that local people can use, we want to make Teesside a better place to live, especially for the communities uncomfortably close to the works.

We're independent of industry and councils, who all too often have other agendas overriding the interests of people living near the works.

We were formally constituted in January 2003 "to support the disadvantaged communities of Teesside in reducing the impact of local pollution on environment and quality of life"

Our thanks go to Friends of the Earth for the support and advice that played a vital part in our development, and to the Gulbenkian Foundation for their continued backing.

Please explore and use the site and send us your own ideas and information. We hope you'll want to join us.
